I was quite excited to shoot Adriana and Aaron’s wedding due to the fact that I consider Adriana and her family as friends now. Her sisters are friends of mine and I also had the privilege to photograph one of her sister’s wedding four years ago.
We started taking pictures inBirżebbuġawhere Aaron’s parents reside. The atmosphere there was quite relaxed. Aaron, his parents and the groomsmen were having a drink (I don’t think it was the best drink ever from the looks on Aaron’s face) and enjoying a joke or two.
Later I proceed to Sliema to photograph the bride. Adriana seemed to be rather excited! She was wearing a wonderful bridal dress by Alamango. Adriana had anamazing bridal team, consisting of a maid of honour which was her sister, the groom’s sister was the bridesmaid, a gorgeous flower girl and a cute ring bearer (son of her older sister).
Mass was celebrated in Balluta Parish Church. A number of tourists stopped in front of the church, and waited anxiously to see and take a shot of a Maltese bride. After the ceremony the bride and groom where greeted by Borg garage with a refreshing glass of champagne before heading to the venue in Naxxar.
As soon as the couple arrived in Palazzo Nobile they enjoyed a cocktail with their parents prepared by the Kombi bar. Adriana and Aaron wished to enjoy the wedding and to dance a lot, so we efficiently shot the family photos followed by some poses, and headed immediately to meet and greet the guests.
As soon as we finished meeting the guests and shooting some candid photos, it was time to dance. The band was composed of the Big band brothers with singers Anna Azzopardi and Adrian (ex Crosswalk). During their first dance they had a great fireworks display prepared by Bernard from BG fireworks display.
After everyone was exhausted dancing, it was time to cut the cake which was wonderfully decorated by Busy bee. Adriana then threw the bouquet to the single ladies and headed to leave the venue where a Ford Mustang was awaiting for their going away.
It was surely a great day for Adriana and Aaron, and I am proud that I was chosen as their wedding photographer to create memories for them to treasure for life.
